At the time, the factory was a leather manufacturer for several large American brands. This arrangement often confused and frustrated the young creative, who longed to see the Baez name on the clothes they produced. It’s where he learned to ride a bike and where he would run laps around the machinery and ask employees endless questions about what they do, learning about the ins and outs of the fashion industry.
The plan was for Baez to meet the world champion after a fight in Las Vegas and hand him a custom-made Baez champion’s jacket. Designer Stephanie Hatten updated the Gatehouse Kitchen, turning it into an airy English-country-inspired space. An eye-catching natural stone by Walker Zanger was selected for the counters and backsplash, and the space was outfitted with the latest Monogram appliances. Rogue Territory, a custom denim turned ready-to-wear men’s line, produces vintage-inspired goods that extend past denim to trousers, shirts and leather goods. Twin sisters Alexis and Kym McClay have created a young, fun, flirty, collection of party dresses with their Naven line.
